These are two woodcut prints that I pulled for my introduction to printmaking final! They're my 2nd and 3rd woodcuts that I've carved and I'm very proud of the results! The dimensions of the prints are about 18"x40". I spent well over a hundred hours carving the wood, foil stamping the paper and actually pulling the prints. My hand was sore for a week because I only had a little over two weeks to finish the project... But I did it!
I really fell in love with the foil stamping process! I did these prints in Gold, Gun Metal, and Copper. Any feedback you can give me on which foil you find more effective would be greatly appreciated!
Right now I've photoshoped the two prints next to each other (they are a diptych) but my plan is to cut out the prints and adhere them to scrolls and have them displayed next to each other as banners.
Edit: I've been challenged to make the rest of the zodiac.
